Ria and I had a long but trouble-free day of travel. We had lunch at a hotel in Vancouver, near the marina, and dinner and breakfast on the flight to Amsterdam. Our transfer to the flight to Athens went smoothly, and flying into Athens was truly breathtaking. Ria and I notched a new country, but our passports only show entry into the Netherlands — damn the Schengen arrangement!
Flying out of Athens was even more beautiful, as the sun was setting as we took off, and as we rose the sun re-appeared and then set again, giving us our third sunset in the space of just twelve hours.
