Ancient ruins

This ancient Greek village includes a Temple to Apollo, a main street lined with shops, a residential neighborhood, a large central public worship space, water works, public baths with a view, and a terraced region for worshipping all the other gods. It's only partially excavated and I hope to come back in a few years to see what else has been uncovered.

This is the entrance to the Temple to Apollo.

An overview of the site, from the top of the hill. There is a semi-circular altar, behind which are the public baths with an incredible view of the islands. Beyond the baths is the main street through the residential neighborhood. Behind me and to my right are the shops in the business district.

The writing is clear even today.

This is a view into the residences, each of which has a central entrance and several inner rooms. Most also had a central courtyard.
