Our favorite (and not favorite) things about Greece so far:
- For the next month, we have no schedule.
- The landscape is so beautiful: rocky limestone hills, deeply cut gulches, olive groves, orange orchards, and brilliant sandy beaches with that indescribable blue water.
- Everyone is so friendly; even the crazy drivers wave and smile as they careen past.
- Everything smells like smoke.
- Our home is so beautiful.
- Our car is so not.
- Alas, like most vacation rentals, the kitchen is not designed for cooking. But it looks good!
- Our water is heated by the sun, which is great when it's warm, and not so good at night.
- Most things seem pretty cheap, and the euro is almost at parity with the dollar.
- We're relaxed and happy.
